FASHION RELIEF

Buy Tickets HERE Over the past eight years, my work with Irish and international charities has taken me to some of the world’s poorest countries. My most recent trip was to East Africa, where millions of people are facing extreme hunger. I’ve seen mothers who can’t feed their babies and small children who go to bed hungry, knowing there’ll still be nothing to eat when they get up in the morning. It’s absolutely heartbreaking – something that no man, woman or child should have to go through. Right now, people in East Africa and elsewhere are dying of hunger. But…

Planet Woman

“It’s a culture change” said businessman and entrepreneur Mark Ryan (NON Exec Director Accenture) at Planet Woman, the event organised and hosted by business woman, entrepreneur, publisher, broadcaster and mother Norah Casey….and so say all of us! Norah, who has been a friend of mine for years, has many amazing qualities, but being a womans woman and still a guys best friend – in equal measure – is definitely one of her most endearing in my mind.  I know she enjoys the company of my husband and her male friends as much as she does her girlfriends, but being a…

Keane On Style at Twin Trees Hotel, Ballina

Thanks to all of you who made Keane On Style’s first visit to Ballina such a success.  You were a fabulous crowd of women AND girls (great to see so many mums with daughters). You obviously enjoyed all of of experts talks and demonstrations because the whole night ran over by nearly an hour – you Ballina women can certainly talk, lol! – but that is what the night is all about; opening up, being honest, chatting, asking questions, learning tips & tricks that’ll make our lives easier and of course some fab fashion, retail therapy in our pop-up shops…

A Busy Week….

What a week that was! It started with a lovely article in the Sunday Independent Life Magazine where I’d been asked to list the ‘Loves Of My Life’ – a tough one to do, but I think I managed it ok. Then I did a photocall for the Buy My Dress campaign for Down Syndrome Ireland, a tv interview in RTE for Keane On Style with Daithi and Maura on the Today show, a product launch for Easilocks Hair at the Cliff Townhouse with Vogue Williams and Amanda Brunker, a shoot for the cover of Galway Now magazine, I hosted…

Hugh Jackman – A Dream Come True

I’m just home from a screening of Hugh Jackman’s ‘Dukale’s Dream’ and I urge to go and see it or Watch it online. It was made in association the wonderful World Vision charity and highlights the importance of supporting Fair Trade products.   It’s available to rent/buy more Amazon and is something you can watch with the kids (our girls, 9 and 12, loved it). For more info on World Vision click here Oh, and a photo of Hugh, just because….

The Lexus Irish Fashion Collective

A once in a lifetime opportunity for dedicated followers of fashion was witnessed on the Friday of the May bank holiday weekend, when the Lexus Irish Fashion Collective took place in the historic venue of Trinity College Dublin.   Renowned Irish fashion designers, including Philip Treacy, showcased their collections in aid of dementia care in Saint Joseph’s Shankill. I was delighted to MC and the show was produced by the incredible Catherine Condell and featured Ireland’s leading models. The Dean Dublin sponsored the reception and guests received a selection of gifts including a dermalogica gift pack from Brown Cow Beauty Boutiques, a Purcell and…

Keane On Style Delgany, Now On Sale!

We’re off to the garden of Ireland for the next Keane On Style event with an intimate evening in the beautiful Pigeon House, Delgany. It’s one of my favourite restaurants (sister to the fab Pigeon House in Clontarf) but it’s also one  of the best venues for a party or wedding (have a look at their website here). And, on that note, this Keane On Style evening will have a very special part of the show which will be wedding-themed as well as all the usual goody bag treats, wine, tasting plates, hair and makeup demos and beauty and skincare…

Irish have a lot to show off about at Showcase Ireland

To say I was blown away by the talent at Showcase Ireland is an underestimate and it is the Irish designers and artisans who have the most to be proud of. Without bias (honestly) they were by far the best.  I have always said we are a seriously talented bunch – that is why I have always chosen to wear Irish when I can.  I have reported on and worked with many wonderfully talented Irish designers over the course of my career and in the last year got to share some of those designers with you on my Keane On…

Latest Addition To The Next Event!

I’m so excited to announce that Hair Blogger and TV Presenter Tori Keane will be joining me onstage to do hair demonstrations at the next Keane On Style event at City North Hotel for Boomerang Youth Centre on Saturday 30th January. As most of you know, Tori is the hair expert on TV3’s Ireland AM. She is also one of Ireland’s most popular bloggers and my uber-talented little sis. I can’t wait to see Tori ‘live in action’, sharing all her expert tips on the Keane On Style stage. For more info on the event and to buy tickets, see…
