Being “Divine” for 10 years!

What an incredible night for Divine Boutique last night. Celebrating 10 years in business in the stunning setting of Carton House. I was delighted to help with MC duties – being a massive fan of Divine boutique and its proprietor Mary Greene (who also happens to be my Bessie!) – and to support and create awareness of The Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland. Will post more about it and an incredible young lady – and sufferer of NF – Aoife Quinn later. I brought my two little ladies Emelia and Romy to the show with me and on the way home…

Happy 10th Birthday Harvey Nichols!

I can’t believe it’s ten years since Harvey Nichols arrived to Dundrum Town Centre.  I have been a huge fan from the beginning.  I love their labels, it’s a really comfortable space to browse, their Personal Shopping Service is relaxed, professional and so much fun and the staff are helpful, friendly and honest. There is no pushy, hard-sell here. I also love the fact that you can try go on to their main Harvey Nichols website – see something you like from a whole range of other labels that may not be stocked in the Dublin store and the girls…

In the dark at Hollister!

My 12 year old daughter Emelia has been obsessed with Hollister for the last two years. Desperately trying to get her little frame to fit the xs when really the clothes are aimed at teenagers to twenty somethings.  I must say the quality of their clothes is very good if only you could see them?  How many mums have had to ask the cute kid/friendly shop assistant who seems to prefer to ‘pose’ than serve “Can I bring this outside please just to see the colour?”.  Actually, we actually mean ‘see it’!  It’s pitch black in there!  Emelia thinks I…

Bargain Of The Year!

I love this coat! Not only is it ‘bang on trend’ – check out the collections from Burberry Prorsum, Lanvin, Prada and The Row this season where you will pay between €1,000 and €4,000 for a similar style – it’s also VERY affordable.  Ok, we are generally talking cashmere with the designer versions but this Penneys duster is so soft and comfy, you’ll get just as much pleasure out of wearing it. AND at under €40 I’d say it is the bargain of the year! Other great high street options can be found on www.misguided.com, www.topshop.com, www.riverisland.com and www.boohoo.com (photo-bombed…

Renault BBQ at the K-Club

Renault launched the new Kadjar on Saturday night with a big bash at The K Club – a stylish venue for a stylish car! And what a great night too for a BBQ – the sun shone until sunset.  My pal and PR & Event guru Roisin O’Hea www.oheapr.com advised that 1. It was a BBQ therefore casual attire and 2. We would most likely be bloody freezing so wear something comfy and warm. She was right and I was very happy in my Yves Soloman parka sitting outside sipping bubbles and eating yummy food – my kind of BBQ!…

Stylish Lunch for A Great Cause

Nothing like a girlie lunch and a great cause www.drcc.ie to get you in the mood for dressing up.  Thanks to my great pal Charlotte Bradshaw www.dylanbradshaw.com a whole bunch of us girls support the event every year, hosted by the funniest and most entertaining duo in town Amanda Brunker and Joe Supple aka Miss Candy. I decided on a black www.tibi.com skirt from www.net-a-porter.com with a www.topshop.com long sleeve crop with a red www.luluguinness.com lips bag and www.fitzpatrickshoes.com Grafton street store.

UTV A/W Schedule Launch

It was UTV Ireland’s Autumn/Winter schedule launch and also the announcement of a new series of “The Interview” where I get to sit down face to face with some of the worlds biggest music stars for a half hour long programme. I shot a pilot with Josh Groban which was aired last May and proved to be so popular it has spawned a full series. My next guest is a serious music legend that has so much to talk about we may have to do 3 episodes, lol! Here I am wearing Joseph leather leggings www.joseph-fashion.com from www.brownthomas.com, top from…

Going For A Gucci Look

I decided to try emulate the Gucci ad look – I love their new collection.  I love their Autumn/Winter 15 campaign (see pic) – Very 70’s but with a contemporary twist.  Flairs look fantastic if your 6 foot but personally I find them difficult to carry off (being 5 foot 5 and a half inches – the half is very important!).  This is my way of doing ‘a little bit 70’s’ this season! My jacket is not www.gucci.com, I bought mine in a vintage shop in France, my jeans , the t shirt is www.riverisland.com and boots are www.isabelmarant.com bought…
